Which base makes sense?

Selçuk places you close to Ephesus and other local heritage. Kuşadası works well for a coastal stay or a cruise-port arrival. For the inland half, stay near Pamukkale or in Denizli according to your onward transport. These are different bases: check the actual hotel address and transfer time before you book.

Ephesus and Hierapolis–Pamukkale are separate UNESCO World Heritage properties in different provinces; plan the road leg rather than treating them as a single-site excursion.

A cruise stop with only a few hours in port is usually better spent around Ephesus and nearby Selçuk. Pamukkale deserves its own inland visit.

After your Ephesus visit, travel inland and check into your next hotel. Keep the exact drive and breaks flexible for your vehicle, traffic and group. If you have a later departure on the final day, use the morning for Hierapolis and the terraces; if your flight is early, add the visit the previous day.
